Our story
We are Novita and Wilhelm, the people behind Owl Village. We wanted toys we would choose for our own children. Something to explore with their hands, then come back to for another try.

A little about us
Our friendship began long before Owl Village. Time in nature and a shared interest in the Taoist arts shaped how we think about learning: make room to explore, notice the small things and enjoy the practice.

Made for hands-on discovery
We bring different interests to the same table, from engineering to art. Together we look for ways to turn a letter, a number or a story into something a child can explore with their hands.

Welcome to our village
A few minutes together. A new word. One more try. Those little moments are why we make toys and the guides that go with them. If you have a question, we would love to hear it.

Some days, a screen is the easy answer. Finding something else they'll enjoy can feel like another job, especially when the last new toy ended up in a corner.
We want children to enjoy the kind of screen-free play we remember from our own childhoods. Our love of nature is part of that, and it shows up in the animals and stories of Owl Village. Whether they're coloring a picture or building a first word with you, there's room for their own ideas. Play can be worthwhile simply because they're enjoying it.
See how a toy works before you choose. If you'd like a starting point, our play guides are there to help, with step-by-step support for first words too. Explore the play guides
